Sophie Collins is a freshman at the Greater Hartford Academy of the Performing Arts. She has been part of the New England Around Town Singers organization since she began singing with their Music in Motion group at five years old, performing 10 major shows and cabarets with them. This is her first appearance with the North Carolina ATS&O.

Her presence in entertainment and media began very early. Barely one year old, she was cast as the 2006 Talbot’s baby, appearing in their 2006 Christmas catalog. Sophie’s community theater career began with The Red Door Theatre in Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, where she preformed in 17 of their plays. Notably, she played the childhood version of Annie Sullivan, Helen Keller’s teacher (born in Feeding Hills) in an original play called Teacher, written by Lyle Pearsons with original musical score by Dan Kehoe. Sophie has been an avid member of her school’s drama club since 2016, playing a Who in Seussical Jr., and most recently Miss Hannigan in Annie Jr.

She is pleased to be selected to perform another original song for you, the show’s theme, “A Magical Christmas”, written for her by the ATS&O director.
