Are You a Future Around Town Singer?

Our adult Singers chorus is always looking for capable singers to join us, ages high school on up!

And for kids 6 - 9, the Music in Motion group is for you.

You should enjoy singing, being on stage, and have a basic ability to read music or otherwise learn to sing on stage within a group.  A long list of musical credentials is not needed!

The Around Town Singers rehearse once weekly during our seasons, which are in preparation for our spring and Christmas shows.

For interested orchestra instrumentalists in either location, please contact the National Founding Director at dankehoe@aroundtownsingers.org.  Our 20-piece orchestras support our major shows, and we use the following instruments:

Strings – violin, viola, cello, string bass

Winds – flute, oboe, alto/tenor/baritone saxophone (wind doubling appreciated)

Brass – trumpet/cornet, trombone, French horn, euphonium/baritone/tuba

Percussion – drums, timp, alternate percussion (conga,  glockenspiel, cymbal, etc.)

Guitar – acoustic/electric (guitar doubling appreciated), electric bass

Piano/keyboard (rehearsal and performance)

Players of any age are accepted, and we fully support and encourage advanced middle and high schoolers, and home schoolers.  Active playing adults, music teachers, and retired show professionals are also welcome, as they provide a strong mentoring role for our younger players.  Our orchestra musicians are compensated for their efforts, and rehearsals start about one month before our major shows.
